Frequently asked questions
How is the coffee made?
Cafeda is made with Robusta and Arabica coffee beans authentically grown in the Vietnamese Central Highlands.
The coffee beans are dark-roasted, coarsely ground and brewed over several hours to extract the rich bold flavours and aromas of Vietnamese coffee.
Finally, sweetened condensed milk and natural flavours are blended in, creating the perfect fusion of strong coffee, velvety creaminess and indulgent sweetness.
What makes this coffee special?
Vietnamese iced coffee is in many ways a reflection of Vietnamese culture – bold, strong, and intense yet smooth, sweet, and chill – all uncompromising and exquisitely balanced.
More than a coffee-flavoured milk, it is an intensely strong coffee beverage with natural sweeteners to smooth out any bitterness.
Cafeda is a beverage that is both comforting and indulgent, yet strong and energising, all in a ready-to-drink convenient can.
Where does it come from?
Introduced in the 1800s, Vietnamese coffee is grown in the lush landscapes of the Central Highlands of Vietnam.
Today, Vietnam is the world’s second largest producer of coffee and world’s largest producer of Robusta coffee.
This has given rise to a coffee culture unlike that of anywhere in the world.
All the coffee that goes into creating Cafeda is sourced exclusively from the Vietnamese Central Highlands.
Is the coffee strong?
Vietnamese coffee is known for its strong and bold flavour, owing to its Robusta coffee beans, dark roast, and brewing methods.
In contrast to espresso-based drinks, the flavour profile of Vietnamese coffee is intense and distinct.
One 250mL can of Cafeda provides 120-175mg of naturally-occurring caffeine, depending on the flavour, which is equivalent to about two shots of espresso or two cups of instant coffee, whilst keeping you feeling light and energized.
How will it make me feel?
